Soapmaking

Today is a fabulous day for soapmaking, the rain slowly drizzles outside.  Cozy in the house, listening to music.  Deciding what kind to make is always the fun part.  Today it will be lavender and oatmeal.  I start with three main oils, coconut, palm, and olive.  Measure, melt, and mix.  While this is happening, the lye is cooling.  The world is so alive with birds right now, sitting here looking out the window, I see many different kinds of birds.  During the cooling process there is always time to ponder on the simple things in life.  Like the sweet little birds outside. I do so love the lazy quiet mornings creating the next batch.
