happy fall ~ our weather is quickly changing. i am happy about it too, always love getting back to the kitchen after summer. we have a wonderful apple tree in our yard, and i am often left wondering what to do with all the apples. in this blog post i am going to share some recipes and links to things i felt helpful, this season. cheers to the change of season
my apple tree is unsprayed and left to do its own thing. i don't even prune the poor thing, but she keeps on producing, so i'll take it. with this said i end up with some worm holed bruised up apples ~ that aren't really edible. not all are this way, in fact most are perfect. but the ones that have had a hard go, i decided to make into apple cider vinegar. i looked around and decided to go with the post from the prairie homestead how to make apple cider vinegar its fabulous and i am able to say all is going well so far....next we are moving onto hot apple cider.
this was a great recipe ~ so simple and a perfect delight upon awakening. simply place ingredients in the crock pot the night before and wake up to hot cider.....also want to say i love following the wellness mamma blog here is her recipe, definitely something i will be doing year after year homemade apple cider recipe
my daughter and i also attended the troy apple festival this year ~ so much fun. it was nice to go on a little road trip with miss josephine. we peddled our wares in troy montana ~ josie sells body glitter ~ and i sell all kinds of lovely.....check out the website simplyjosephine.com we loved the market, and they were pressing apples into cider there for free.....fabulous event i must say. worth the drive.

i also made and froze several bags of applesauce, love that stuff. plus the house smells so good as it simmers on the stove. this is another great link to many more recipes 100+ apple recipes so making an apple pie was on this list....but what??? it didn't happen, there is a little time, a few apples still linger on the tree. so it may happen yet. anyway i love love love apples and all they have to offer, hopefully you find this post helpful. stay connected and subscribe to my posts follow on instagram or facebook. i wish you all much success with the harvest of your apples, namaste and all that...
