DIY + Homemade Toner

Do you use toner?  I have off and on for years, lately I have been making my own.  I am really loving it too, because you can create just what you want.  Pomegranate + White Tea is the flavor of this post.  But do feel free to try any combination that you can think of.  Using toner helps equalize the skins ph level.  Plus its just damn refreshing.  I LOVE this as a post workout spray, it just sort of cleans your face up a bit.

1/4 C tea white + green
1/8 C pure pomegranate juice
1/8 C filtered water
2 T apple cider vinegar

I am crazy about how simple these ingredients are, and natural too.  Everything we put on our skin goes straight into our system, our skin is our largest organ. To obtain the juice I pressed the pomegranate seeds through a strainer.  Using just the back of a spoon to press the juice through.  It didn't take long at all.  While that was happening I was boiling the water for the tea.  I chose white tea + green, they both have antioxidant properties.  But if you only have one, that is fine too.

I used Miss Josephine's tea pot, it was the perfect size, just right.

While that is brewing add the vinegar, to the pom juice.  Make sure you use organic raw cider vinegar, like western family would be no bueno. Mix it all up, and pour into a spray bottle.  I like glass bottles, plastic will work of course.

I like to add a few small crystals to my spray bottles.  Crystals increase the vibration, of the liquid.  Now you may think this is a little witchy, but hey I'm a little witchy. So I do it. If you are somewhat skeptical, do a little research.  Vibrations are just the levels of energy in your body, and all things have vibrations of some sort.  Some more than others, some better than other.  In fact the word vibes, as is "good vibes" comes from vibration.

So any extra toner, can be put in a jar, and stored in the fridge.  And there you have it, super easy, fun, and natural.  Plus it generates zero garbage, always a good thing.  Make yourself something lovely for your face, don't mindlessly buy some shit made from who knows what.  If you would like to stay connected swing by my facebook page, Simply Josephine  or visit my Etsy Shop. I am wishing you all a most wonderful holiday season, don't forget to take a little time for yourself.  Namaste
